AVI products for this
By piece or by weight
- By piece: 2 and 4-cup clamshells for large peaches and nectarines, sold as premium ripe fruit. The same cup packs are used for apples.
- By weight: 12 oz to 1 kg clamshells for apricots, plums and smaller peaches.
- Flowpack: an open tray wrapped on a flow-wrap line, the lightest option for 500 g packs. The 103 mm deep tray takes larger fruit.
Mandarins
The 12 oz clamshells and the PNG 600 / 64 are also listed for mandarins and other small citrus.
Related questions
Why use cupped packs for peaches?
Ripe peaches and nectarines bruise where they touch. Individual cups hold each fruit apart, so premium 'ready to eat' fruit arrives unmarked.
Which pack suits apricots and plums?
Smaller fruit is usually packed loose by weight: a 12 oz clamshell or a 500 g flowpack tray.
