Our Commitment to Circular Packaging

AVI's sustainability commitment in practice.

Overview

Responsible Materials. Traceable Progress.

AVI's commitment to circular packaging connects recycled-material use, traceability and resource-efficient design. Our rPET range offers specified recycled-content levels, supported by grade and batch documentation, while AVI Trace provides material and process records for participating orders.

We also work with partners to improve packaging design and logistics. From recycled-content options to the licensed Q-Bic blueberry punnet, our focus is on practical improvements supported by clearly defined evidence.

Putting Our Commitments into Practice

6,746 MT Estimated CO₂ emissions avoided, FY2025–26

Environment

We focus on the materials, energy and resources used to produce packaging. In FY2025–26, AVI reports processing 5,271 metric tonnes of PET waste into 100% post-consumer recycled PET. Associated estimates include the equivalent of 263.5 million PET bottles, 29,515 cubic metres of landfill space avoided and 6,325 metric tonnes of fuel consumption avoided. Contact our team for the calculation methodology, assumptions and reporting boundaries behind these figures.

2 Certified management systems: ISO 45001 and ISO 14001

People & Governance

Responsible manufacturing depends on structured systems for workplace safety and environmental management. AVI's ISO 45001:2018 and ISO 14001:2015 certifications, issued by SGS (UK) and valid through October 2028, support these functions at our Daman facility. Current certificates and their applicable scopes are available from our team.

30–100% Recycled-content options, documented by grade and batch

Innovation & Circularity

Our rPET range offers recycled-content levels from 30–100%, with documentation matched to the selected grade and batch. AVI Trace extends material visibility for participating orders. Through our partnership with Smart Packaging Industries AS, Norway, we manufacture Q-Bic blueberry punnets in India under licence. The illustrated nesting comparison shows 36 empty punnets occupying approximately 17.1 litres, compared with 34.8 litres for the reference format.

Community

Our contribution starts with packaging designed to protect fresh produce and support its journey from growers to consumers. Helping customers address handling damage and spoilage connects our core work with food-waste reduction. Contact AVI's team to learn more about our community initiatives and current participation opportunities.

What We Prove

Evidence Behind Our Commitments

Recycled Content Graded and Documented Per Batch

AVI's rPET range offers 30–100% recycled-content options, supported by batch documentation. EN 15343 traceability certification and Intertek recycled-content verification apply within their respective scopes; our team can provide the evidence relevant to your selected grade.

AVI Trace: Recently Introduced, Scope Still Being Defined

AVI Trace supports batch-level visibility into material sourcing and processing for participating orders. Contact our team to confirm coverage for your selected product and discuss the records available for your qualification and reporting requirements.

Q-Bic for Blueberries: Licensed Pyramid Geometry, Less Volume Per Punnet

Manufactured at AVI's Indian facility under licence from Smart Packaging Industries AS, Norway, Q-Bic uses a space-efficient nesting design for empty blueberry punnets. Explore the Q-Bic page for the 36-punnet volume comparison and the basis of the assessment.
