PET/PE Laminated Films for Food Packaging

Finished application of this product, with a human element.

Overview

PET Forming Performance with a PE Sealing Layer

AVI Global Plast supplies PET/PE laminated films for food packaging requiring clarity, stiffness and heat-sealing properties. The structure combines a PET base with a PE sealing layer for thermoforming and form-fill-seal applications, including suitable meat, dairy, dates and confectionery packaging.

Manufactured with AVI's integrated extrusion and lamination capabilities, PET/PE is available with easy-peel or lock-seal options. Select the specification around your product's barrier requirements, packaging equipment and intended storage conditions.

Material Fit

Is PET/PE right for your process?

Meat Packaging

For applications where the selected laminate meets the product's protection and sealing requirements. Discuss product geometry, storage temperature and the intended shelf life.

Dairy Packaging

For formed packs requiring a suitable combination of presentation, forming and sealing properties. Specify the food type, filling conditions and lidding material.

Dates, Dry Fruits & Confectionery

For packaging where moisture protection, visibility and seal performance matter. Discuss the product's sensitivity and distribution conditions.

Modified Atmosphere Packaging

For applications where PET/PE provides the required pack performance. Confirm suitability against the product, gas mixture, lidding material and shelf-life target.

Thermoforming & Form-Fill-Seal

For production requiring a formable base and compatible sealing surface. Discuss draw depth, tooling and operating conditions.

FAQ

PET/PE FAQs

Ask a Question
What is PET/PE film used for?
Modified atmosphere packaging (MAP) of meat, dairy, dates and confectionery products with standard moisture-barrier requirements.
How is PET/PE different from PET/EVOH/PE or PET/PA/PE?
PET/PE is a two-layer structure without an EVOH or PA interlayer — suited to standard forming and sealing needs, where AVI's EVOH or PA structures address extended oxygen barrier or puncture resistance.
What thickness does PET/PE come in?
Contact AVI's team for the current thickness range.
Does PET/PE come in an easy-peel format?
Yes — easy-peel or lock-seal formats are available, in transparent, translucent or opaque finishes.
