ESD / Anti-Static Films
ESD / Anti-Static PET Sheets for Electronics Packaging
Overview
Static-Control Materials in APET & Recycled PET
AVI Global Plast manufactures coated anti-static and static-dissipative PET sheets for packaging sensitive electronic components. Available on APET or rPET bases, our offering supports applications across PCBs, semiconductors, hard disks, memory modules and mobile components.
Manufactured at our Daman facility, our ESD materials are available as sheets and formed trays in different gauges and colours. Material selection considers the component's static sensitivity, handling conditions and packaging format, with electrical specifications and testing information available from AVI's team.
Material Fit
Is ESD / Anti-Static Films right for your process?
PCBs & Semiconductors
For printed circuit boards, microprocessors and semiconductor components requiring defined static-control properties. Discuss the electrical specification, component dimensions and contact areas.
Hard Disks & Memory Components
For storage components requiring an appropriate combination of material properties and tray geometry. Specify handling requirements, component orientation and permitted contact points.
Mobile & Micro Components
For smaller electronic parts requiring component-specific cavities. Discuss the footprint, cavity clearance and loading or removal process.
Assembly Kits & Component Carriers
For organised handling of components between production, assembly and storage. Select the material and tray layout around the parts and their electrical requirements.
Recycled-Content ESD Packaging
Explore rPET-based ESD material where recycled content is part of the packaging specification. Confirm recycled-content information separately from electrical performance.

AVI publishes a surface resistivity range of 10⁶–10⁹ Ω/sq. Request the grade-specific results, measurement method and conditioning details for qualification.
APET & rPET Bases
Choose virgin or recycled PET-based ESD material according to your packaging and recycled-content requirements.
Sheet & Tray Formats
Sheets support further conversion, while formed trays can be developed around component dimensions and handling needs.
Performance Under Intended Conditions
Discuss temperature, relative humidity and the required service conditions when specifying electrical performance, including applications involving low humidity.
| Material | ESD / anti-static PET |
|---|---|
| Base options | APET or rPET |
| Grade options | Coated anti-static and static-dissipative materials |
| Published surface resistivity | 10⁶–10⁹ Ω/sq |
| Gauge | 0.3–1.5 mm |
| Colours | Clear, black and white |
| Supply formats | Sheets and formed trays |
| Component applications | PCBs, microprocessors, semiconductors, hard disks, memory modules, mobile components and assembly kits |
| Environmental conditions | Discuss performance requirements at the intended temperature and relative humidity |
| Testing information | Contact AVI's team for the electrical test method, conditioning procedure and results |
| Recycled content | Request grade-specific composition and verification for rPET-based material |
Electrical properties should be reviewed for the selected grade and finished packaging format. Standard APET or rPET should not be treated as equivalent to a specified ESD material.
