Overview

PET Laminates for Forming, Sealing & Product Protection

AVI Global Plast supplies rigid laminated PET films for food packaging requiring a combination of forming, sealing and barrier properties. Available from 100 to 800 microns, our offering includes PET/PE and EVOH-containing structures for applications such as meat, dairy, dates and confectionery packaging.

Our laminated films support thermoforming, form-fill-seal and modified atmosphere packaging, with easy-peel and lock-seal options. Select the structure around the product, intended shelf life, storage conditions and sealing system, with application-specific information available from AVI's team.

Material Fit

Is Laminated Films right for your process?

Meat, Dairy & Perishable Foods

For products requiring a suitable combination of moisture and oxygen-barrier properties. Discuss the food type, storage temperature and intended shelf life.

Dates & Confectionery

For packaging where presentation, sealing and protection requirements influence material selection. Specify the product characteristics and distribution conditions.

Modified Atmosphere Packaging

For packs using a controlled gas mixture. Discuss the laminate alongside the food product, gas composition, lidding material and required pack performance.

Thermoforming & Form-Fill-Seal

For forming and sealing on packaging equipment. Select the specification around cavity depth, tooling, line conditions and the complete packaging structure.

Chilled, Frozen & Ambient Applications

Discuss the grade appropriate to the intended filling, storage and handling temperatures.

Structure Options

PET/PE laminates combine a PET base with a sealing layer. EVOH-containing options are available where additional oxygen-barrier performance is required.

Forming & Bond Performance

Thermoforming properties and bond strength support the conversion of laminated sheet into the intended pack geometry.

Easy-Peel & Lock-Seal Options

Select the sealing specification around the required opening experience and compatible lidding material.

Appearance & Storage Requirements

Transparent, translucent and opaque options support different presentation needs, with grades selected for freezer, chiller or ambient conditions.

FAQ

Laminated Films FAQs

Ask a Question
What's the difference between this page and AVI's High Barrier Films pages?
Same product family, indexed under two parts of the site — PET Sheets (by base resin) and Product ▸ Films ▸ High Barrier Films (by barrier structure). See the High Barrier Films pages for structure-specific detail (PET/PE, PET/EVOH/PE, PET/PA/PE).
What thickness range is available?
100 to 800 microns.
Are AVI's laminated films certified for food contact?
Contact AVI's team for food-contact documentation applicable to the intended food type, contact conditions and destination market. ISO 14001:2015 and EN 15343 certifications apply where relevant to the selected material.
