Connecting Recycled Content with Supporting Evidence
A recycled-content percentage tells you how much recycled material a product contains. Traceability provides the supporting context: where that material originated, how it was processed and which records apply to the finished pack. AVI Trace brings this information together for participating orders, with documentation available directly from our team.

From Material Source to Finished Packaging
Stage 01
Verified Source
Post-consumer PET is sourced through documented waste-management partnerships. For ocean-bound plastic streams, sourcing information and chain-of-custody records are assessed separately from product certification.
Evidence: Relevant sourcing-partner documentation, including information from partners such as Recity Network, and ocean-bound sourcing records where applicable.

Stage 02
Flake
Collected PET is sorted and processed into washed flakes before entering AVI's sheet-production process. Supplier lot identification supports the connection between incoming material and production records.
Evidence: Flake batch or lot references linked to AVI's incoming-material and production records.

Stage 03
Sheet
AVI processes recycled PET into sheet at its own facility, with recycled-content levels specified by grade and documented by batch. Total recycled content and post-consumer content are reported separately.
Evidence: EN 15343 recycled-content traceability certification and grade-specific Intertek verification under its Recycled Content Verification Program, referencing ISO 14021:2016. Examples include grades verified at 80% total recycled content with 53% post-consumer content, and 90% total recycled content with 60% post-consumer content.
EN 15343 — SGS certificate IN24/00000783, valid to 17 October 2027. Applicable Intertek grade-specific verification certificates are valid to 30 September 2027. Request the certificate matching your selected grade.
Stage 04
Finished Pack
Sheet is thermoformed into finished packaging at AVI's facility, keeping sheet production and conversion within the same manufacturing operation. Production records support the link between the pack and its sheet batch.
Evidence: Finished-pack production records referencing the relevant source sheet batch.

Stage 05
Proof / Batch Record
For participating orders, AVI's team provides the available records connecting finished packaging with its material and production history. This information supports procurement reviews, customer qualification and audit requirements.
Evidence: Batch identification, applicable EN 15343 and Intertek documentation, and a summary of the connected production stages.
