PET/PA/PE
PET/PA/PE Laminated Films for Puncture-Resistant Food Packaging
Overview
PET Laminates with PA Reinforcement & PE Sealing
AVI Global Plast supplies PET/PA/PE laminated films for food packaging requiring mechanical strength, puncture resistance and barrier performance. The structure combines a PET base, a polyamide (PA) component and a PE sealing layer for suitable meat, seafood, dairy and other food-packaging applications.
Supported by integrated extrusion and lamination capabilities, PET/PA/PE offers easy-peel or lock-seal options for thermoforming and form-fill-seal processes. Select the specification around product geometry, handling conditions, sealing requirements and intended storage temperature.
Structure
PET/PA/PE — three-layer structure
- PETOuter layer — clarity, stiffness and printability
- PA (Nylon)Puncture-resistance interlayer — for products at risk of tearing a plain PET/PE structure
- PEInner heat-seal layer — easy-peel or lock-seal, per order
Illustrative structure, not to scale. Per-layer thickness split is confirmed with AVI's team against the order's gauge and puncture-resistance requirement.
Material Fit
Is PET/PA/PE right for your process?
Meat & Seafood Packaging
For applications where bones, shells or product edges create puncture concerns. Discuss contact points, pack geometry and the required mechanical performance.
Dairy Packaging
For formed packs requiring a suitable balance of strength, barrier and sealing properties. Specify the product, filling conditions and storage requirements.
Dates, Dry Fruits & Confectionery
For applications where product shape and handling conditions influence material selection. Discuss moisture protection, presentation and seal requirements.
Modified Atmosphere Packaging
For products requiring mechanical protection alongside an appropriate barrier. Confirm the structure against the gas mixture, lidding material and intended shelf life.
Thermoforming & Form-Fill-Seal
For formed packaging requiring controlled material distribution and sealing performance. Discuss draw depth, tooling and operating conditions.

Provides clarity, stiffness and a surface suited to appropriate printing and conversion processes.
PA for Mechanical & Barrier Properties
Polyamide contributes puncture resistance, mechanical strength and barrier properties. Select the specification against the product's contact points and handling requirements.
PE Sealing Layer
Provides the sealing surface, with easy-peel or lock-seal options matched to the intended lidding material.
Application-Specific Construction
Layer proportions, forming depth and operating conditions influence finished-pack performance. Discuss these alongside chilled, frozen or ambient storage requirements.
