Mobile & Micro Components
Mobile & Micro Components Packaging
Overview
ESD Materials for Small Electronic Components
Small electronic components require close attention to cavity dimensions, handling access and static sensitivity. AVI Global Plast supplies anti-static and static-dissipative PET materials for mobile and micro-component packaging, with in-house mould development supporting layouts around the component's footprint.
Sheet and tray specifications take into account the part's size, orientation and packing process. APET and rPET options provide a choice of material base within the ESD offering.
Material Capabilities
Small-Component Layouts & Static Control
Cavity development
Component dimensions guide the layout and clearance of individual tray pockets.
Electrical requirements
Material selection is matched to the required static-control performance.
Handling configuration
Tray design can be discussed around component loading, removal and movement between operations.

What We Prove
The AVI Advantage
Precision Tooling for Small-Format Cavities
Small, high-value components need a cavity tooled precisely to their footprint, not a generic tray with wasted clearance — AVI's in-house mould development handles that fit rather than working around a stock format.
Gauge & Colour Range
0.3 to 1.5mm gauge in clear, black or white, as coated anti-static virgin or recycled PET sheet — sheet or formed tray, from the same material.
In-House Extrusion & Tooling
Extruded, tooled and formed under one roof at AVI's Daman facility, and conditioned/tested to ASTM D618.
FAQ
Mobile & Micro Components Packaging FAQs
Common questions from buyers, exporters and procurement teams.
Learn MoreCan AVI tool a custom tray for a specific mobile or micro component?
Yes — tooling and mould development are done in-house at AVI's Daman facility, so a precision cavity for a specific component doesn't depend on an external toolmaker's timeline.
What resistivity range is available for mobile and micro components?
10⁶ to 10⁹ ohms/sq surface resistivity — the dissipative band of the ESD spectrum, as per ASTM D618.
Is this material tested to an industry standard?
Yes — conditioned and tested to ASTM D618 for humidity and temperature.
